Time zone blues

The trip to Taos provided a time zone change, and with it the game of Which Time Is It? Despite not resetting our car clock, or watches, invariably when the question of what time it was came up, the answer was always followed with a "is that our time or their time" question. This got old rather fast. Sunday night after we've been at home all day back in Austin, as we're going to sleep Sean asks me the time, and after I answered, she asked the question, our time or their time. On Monday, I hope we are finally cured of that disease.

Good bye Mazda 626

Our Mazda is now history as a result of the wreck on the 7th. I will need to execute a few documents to get paid for it. Even the body shop where the car was being stored told me I'd be better off not getting it fixed. Sigh. I kinda liked that car. Not really any problems in the 7 years or so we had it. Now to find another vehicle. The van performed admirably going to Taos and back, but I think its done. Oil is being burned at a prodigous rate.

Grasshopper revisited

I need to confess. I checked out the first season of the old Kung Fu tv series from the library. Its been fun to watch, and I sheepishly admit it. Samantha and Tory have been watching it some too. We later have fun at the show's expense mocking it somewhat.

Which doctor?

After visiting the ER Monday, I went home and made an appointment to see my doctor on Thursday a.m. as I was advised to do by the ER doc. He said I could cancel if I did not think it necessary. Thursday morning, I decide not to go to the doctor, and cancel the appointment. I look up my doctor's phone number in my list at work and call. The office there tells me I don't have an appt. Hmmm ... then I remember. I made the appointment with the doctor I used 5 years ago, not the new one from 2 years ago. Oooops. Quickly looked up the old number, called and cancelled that appointment. I must've been a little more rattled than I thought that day.
